The programme provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognized by many universities worldwide. It was developed in the early to mids in Geneva, Switzerland , by a group of international educators. After a six-year pilot programme that ended in , a bilingual diploma was established. In order to participate, students must attend an IB school. IBDP students complete assessments in six subjects, one from each subject group , and three core requirements. Students are evaluated using both internal and external assessments, and courses finish with an externally assessed series of examinations, usually consisting of two or three timed written tests. Internal assessment varies by subject: there may be oral presentations, practical work, or written work.
International Baccalaureate IB. I don't recommend studying with older books as they most likely do not correspond to the most recent IB Chemistry syllabus. If you're looking for a book that will help you cram for a few days before the IB exam, any of the books we mention below will work for you. But if you're looking to ace the test, it's best to choose a book that will help supplement what you learn in class. If that's your goal, you should pick the book carefully.

Chemical principles underpin both the physical environment in which we live and all biological systems. Chemistry is often a prerequisite for many other courses in higher education, such as medicine, biological science and environmental science. Filters Showing 1—30 of 31 results.
