A Chinese "slapping therapy" practitioner linked to the death of a Sydney boy has been arrested in England after a woman died during one of his health retreats. Diabetic Aidan Fenton, 7, died at the Hurstville Ritz hotel in Sydney's west last April having attended a week of courses run by the "self-healing" proponent Hongchi Xiao. Sunday, August 20, On Thursday, the New South Wales NSW , Australia police extradited 'self-healer' Hongchi Xiao, age reportedly 53 or 54, from London , United Kingdom over the death at his conference, allegedly from diabetic ketoacidosis , of a six-year-old boy. Xiao appeared in Sydney Central Local Court. Xiao was ordered to appear in court on October Xiao had practiced a self-healing technique, "Paida Lajin", that involves slapping, stretching, and fasting.
