Blooms Taxonomy has been the standard in developing educational objectives for many years--knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. Now, Robert Marzano contends that Blooms taxonomy doesnt go far enough. According to Marzano, there are six levels--retrieval, comprehension, analysis, knowledge utilization, metacognitive system, and self system. Each of these six can be broken down into domains of knowledge--information, mental procedures, and psychomotor procedures. Multiple examples are given in tables and with the use of graphic organizers.
