King James Bible

Phil KJV Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. There is one saying found among Christians which has almost become a lifestyle principle. There are many Christians who believe that you can partake in anything as long as you do it in moderation. Of course, they are thinking of things like eating, drinking, etc. As long as you do not overindulge, then you are doing fine. Well this type of thinking is not only erroneous it is diametrically opposed to Scripture.

Have you ever heard someone say moderation in all things? When talking about moderation we must also remember the word abstinence. Underage drinking cannot be done in moderation.

What does the Bible say about? For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
