Ready Player One: The book and the movie
Password Notices Tip Got Facebook? Okay, I usually don't recommend a book until I finish it I'm in love. This book is an rpg players wet dream. It's 1 of those books that you can't help but smile thinking about your childhood if you were alive in the eighty's.
Spending its third consecutive week at No. Set in , the world of Ready Player One is bleak and overcrowded, driving most of humanity to spend their lives plugged into the limitless virtual reality world of the OASIS. Teenage hacker Emika Chen works as a cyber bounty hunter in the game Warcross, tracking down players making illegal bets on in-game events. Jason must determine if the world he left was real — and whether he can ever return. A thriller that keeps you holding your breath until the final paragraphs, the emotional story of characters I loved, deeply insightful into humanity and nature, and based on a mind-blowing premise. The concept is science fiction, the genre is thriller, and yet Dark Matter is character based.
I'm ready for Ready Player One! Easter weekend is here, and perhaps not entirely coincidentally, the movie adaptation of a book about a multi-billion dollar Easter Egg hunt has just hit the big screen. Suffice it to say, I liked the movie. But in this case, they were not really selling the book—they were reminding me that the movie existed. So how does the movie adaptation stack up to the book, which I also liked? There may still be a few, though. That was when the light bulb went on over my head.
When a big-budget movie is released, the book it's based on should sell well., Added by 25 of our members.
